The song “Ranman” from Amami-Oshima’s Kizuki Minami has been on our heavy rotation playlist for days now and it’s so awesome. The song is the title track from an album she released this year and while it treads more on the J-pop wave, there are a couple of shimauta tracks. Overall it’s an amazing release made even more brilliant with the song “Ranman”. Last year, our anthem was “Yoake” by Seven Oops (who is having a great start to 2024 — more on them in a future post), but this year it’s looking like it’ll be “Ranman”.
(And, yes, we’re back. Didn’t think we would be away as long as we were.)
