Yes. It’s been a long time but we’re back with a new post. Woohoo! We were actually planning to do a playlist for every season but we seemed to have passed a whole year without one so better late than never. Many of the tracks here are about a year old with a few new entries and a couple of old ones (can you find them?). We hope the playlist which covers a lot of different genres will include artists unknown to you and (hopefully) make you a fan of theirs. Enjoy!

One more thing. This year (2026) marks our 20th anniversary (not including our time at Okinawa.com when it was helmed by Donna and Internet-Okinawa.com) — yay! So much has changed in the two decades since we’ve been blogging about our pop culture but a thing that’s remained the same is fans of Okinawa music are still fans to this day (hi, Ray and gang 👋). Speaking of Donna, we’re hoping (heh, we use ‘hope’ a lot, don’t we?) to showcase an interview with her sometime this year (😽Riccin: I actually asked her for permission about a year ago). She’s the OG for all things Okinawa (from Okinawa.com [don’t ask — maybe we’ll get to the background behind that domain] to Internet-Okinawa.com — we were in charge of pop.internet-okinawa.com). We’re wondering what’s her take on how much things have changed since the beginning of time 😅. Stay tuned!
