HY’s Hit Song “366 Days” Becomes a J-Drama & Spawns Several Collaborations

via Twitter

Who would’ve thought? On the J-pop side, we’ve see Utada Hikaru’s hit song “First Love” become a J-drama and now, it’s HY‘s “366 Days” turn! The drama is currently airing on Fuji TV’s coveted 21:00 time slot and although it doesn’t have any Okinawan actors in it, it does have Maeda Gouki from “Chimudondon” and Sonny Chiba’s son Maeda Gordon (no relation to Gouki?) in the lead role along with Hirose Alice (how cool is it that we now live in an age where two leads in a Japanese drama have English names 😊). What’s even better? The song has been rereleased with several collaborations but while we love the version with fellow eyeglass wearer Kawasaki Takaya (that guy can sing!), we have to say other than the original version, the new one with Yonashiro Sho is our favorite. While his day job is with the boy group JO1, with his K-pop star looks and amazing voice, maybe we’ll see him go solo one of these days.

Oh, and there’s an official playlist with all version of “366 Days” that you can hit πŸ”€ or πŸ”‚ with.
